Very good and intriguing book

I loved the book. The initial summary of the book made me purchase it. Love unexpected happened to the main characters. Loved the intrigue and suspense surrounding the secondary character Clayton. Apart from minor grammatical errors, the book was easy to follow and enjoy. Would recommend this book as an easy read. I would like to read more from this author in the future.

To be and to find 'the needle in a haystack'-must be love.

4.25 stars. This story is both well written and takes a unique approach to the convenience theme. Sean Davenport is owner and CEO of a multi million dollar corporation, both his parent are deceased, he is an only child and wants and heir; but do to a rare blood disorder, he can only sire a child with a woman who also has this disorder. After years of searching for a white female with this condition, his investigators find Danielle Knox, a black female sculptor. Sean arranges to meet Danielle at one of her showings, they spend the night together and ultimately fall in love, she gets pregnant and they marry. A lovely romance with a bit of mystery and attempted murder and acts of betrayal and forgiveness. I was close to not liking her best friend- i hate 30 year olds behaving like a fifteen year old best friend might.

HOME RUN FIRST TIME AT BAT!

That's exactly what Ms. Jackson has produced with her first publication. This story does not have one negative vibe about it. Everything you can possibly want when starting a book is included in this story and this author used all of her writing skills to make sure she held you captive from the first to the last stroke of her pen. I am still astounded that this is her first attempt to swim in the pool consisting of writers to keep your eyes on. And believe you me, Ms. Jackson jumped right into the deepest part of the pool and began to swim with the big dogs!! She established her superior skills at the onset and proceeded to improve upon them throughout the telling of this extremely provocative and intriguing story.

Intrigue, suspense, hot loving, unusual twists and an HEA all are wrapped up, explained and conquered in this unique storyline. Oh, oh, oh - the suspense!!! This story will have you tightly wound within its grip with the question of "Who Done It", ringing constantly through your - I want to know - mind. Not one emotion is left untouched by this author while weaving this reading delicacy for our pleasure. Baby mama drama has never been experienced this well. What more can you ask for? I am looking forward to seeing what Ms. Jackson has in that creative brain of hers, in future stories, she has yet to unfold. If they are like this, we are in store for a rare treat. I sincerely hope we will not have to wait too long. The timespan she allows between her books will answer the question of whether or not she is ready to graduate from the swimming pool into the ocean where many more quality writers reside. Can she still continue to swim with the big dogs in a more turbulent and diverse environment, or will she succumb to just being ordinary? Only time will tell; but for now, in this present time, she is definitely in the race, a very strong contender.

My favorite cookbook

This was my first REAL learning to cookbook. The attitude is "if you have heat, and something to put over that heat and some food, let's cook something delicious!" This cookbook broke me from "recipes" and got me in the kitchen. I gave this book to both of my daughters and they both love it. Ignore the '70's quality'/hippie look, etc. The information still applies.

Aircraft Propulsion, Second Edition follows the successful first edition textbook with comprehensive treatment of the subjects in airbreathing propulsion, from the basic principles to more advanced treatments in engine components and system integration.

This new edition has been extensively updated to include a number of new and important topics. A chapter is now included on General Aviation and Uninhabited Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Propulsion Systems that includes a discussion on electric and hybrid propulsion. Excellent Book on Aircraft Propulsion - The review is for the 2nd edition

If you have to buy only one book on the subject of modern aircraft propulsion system design as a senior-level engineering student, a graduate engineering student, or a practicing aerospace/aeronautical/mechanical engineer, then the second edition of this book will be money very well spent. In terms of subject organization and clarity, material coverage and examples, I think this is one of the best books on the market, as of the date of this review. If you have the liberty to spend a little more on books on a similar topic, then the other two books I recommend would be Gas Turbine Theory, 6th edition, by authors Saravanamuttoo, Rogers, Cohen and Straznicky, and Elements of Propulsion: Gas Turbines and Rockets by Mattingly and von Ohain.

Excellent book and kudos to Dr. Farokhi.

I'm torn between 3 and 4 and a half stars.
The way the author writes really liked, I found it engaging and sliding.
The only flaws are, in my opinion, the book is a bit too short, the final, where does all the yearning, is a bit too fast, and finally, I find that the novel is lacking in other key characters....in other words is a bit simple.
I think the author has very wide potential for P & P write some nice variation.

Good, but could have been better.

I enjoyed parts of this book. I feel like a part of it was missing. Overall it was a pretty good book. Decent idea for a variation. It lacked some of Elizabeth's strength that I love so much. Caroline needed put in her place. I have to agree with other reviews, the ending left me wanting more. Far to rushed/abrupt ending for me.

It is a good book to learn from though

This was the book required for the sonography program I am in. Just took my RDMS AB and passed with flying colors using this book as my main source of reading material. Do consider that I did use many other materials as well. It only got 4 stars because there was some information missing from this book that would have benefited my education so thats the reason for additional material. It is a good book to learn from though.

Horrible, not good for students just starting to learn sonography!

Horrible book! Too many flaws in this and it's workbook! Some of the keyterms for chapters aren't in the chapters. Too elaborate! Would not recommend this to a student just starting out! We are switching books in mid semester bc it is so horribly written! If your a professor don't waste your students time making them purchase this book! I have heard from several professors from different schools changing books mid semester bc this one is so terrible!

To get the negative part over with in the beginning let me say I think Dr. Schuller could have phrased certain points better in places in this book and he goes too far in saying this discovery of self-love is a second Reformation. Having established that qualification, I'd say he makes some valid observations in this book that are quite helpful for overcoming negative misconceptions that tend to hold one back.
In some places of the book I thought he was diverging from orthodoxy, but when I read his concluding chapter I think it was just a poor choice of building his case. It's in the conclusion that he makes it clear he is talking about God's plans and purposes being dominant in a person's life.
Dr. Schuller successfully uses scientific evidence to demonstrate how the ancient truths of the Bible apply to one's thought life.
I can't help but mention he wrote this book before the fall of Communism, but his prediction is clear, unambiguous, and now history. He wrote, "I boldly predict that Communism will ultimately fail..." He was right about that and he's right about a lot of other things in this book.

A Must For Fans of Schuller

This was perhaps the most important book Schuller wrote outside of "More Ahead With Possibility Thinking." He came to realize there was a reason why some people did not adapt the Bible-based teachings for which he became known. An exerpt:

It’s not a sin to experience a wonderful feeling of self-affection. It is a sin not to love what God loves. True religion teaches that God loves every person. No person will love God so long as he fails to love himself. Jesus Christ had this remarkable perception when He offered the eleventh commandment, Thou shall love the Lord thy God and thy neigbbor as thyself. A member of my church who was a millionaire lost his entire fortune. Worse yet – he lost all of his self-respect. As his spiritual aiming to rebuild his broken spirit, I asked, “Do you love God?” “Yes” was the reply.“Do you love yourself?”“No.”
Then you do not really love God, for God lives within you too,” I said.
He understood the fact that if you say you love God and do not love yourself, you are not being honest! Understanding this he decided to learn to love himself. When he succeeded, his earlier “love of God” turned into a really powerful belief in God. So strong was this belief that started over again and is today moving ahead rapidly

Even if this is your first time with Schuller, it is well worth the read since it deals with a condition afflicting many at the core..
